The weatherman is calling for 25cm. of accumulation tomorrow! That's about a million American inches

Re: Guys, Lets See Some Snow Pics!
Here are some pics from a recent storm we had on Vancouver Island. This is very rare, it rains a lot in the winter here but next to never snows. There were lots of people happy to see me pull up with a tow rope and a friendly smile

Re: Guys, Lets See Some Snow Pics!
I'm in Nanaimo, not sure much the total was here when it stopped snowing but I'd guess it to be about the same.

Re: Guys, Lets See Some Snow Pics!
My wife took some pictures of me taking our pontoon boat out of the water last weekend......the boat had to cut 1.5-2.5" of ice for a few hundred yards. I think everyone on our lake had to witness the act and make comments about how lazy/stupid I can be at times.
I'll get some pictures up in the morning.

Re: Guys, Lets See Some Snow Pics!
I'd post pictures if my camera was working. We actually started getting snow mid September.
Edit: It turns out I had a few snow pictures from last winter. This was a job I was working on last winter: ![]() ![]() ![]()

If we get any I'll be sure to put it up. The last time was '76, the first time in recorded history.

Re: Guys, Lets See Some Snow Pics!
here's something I took with my cellphone this winter-
![]() that's the road up to work, with the logger's slash fire on one side, and the snow on the other. there's a bit more snow up there now, but the fire is still smoking three weeks later. |

Re: Guys, Lets See Some Snow Pics!
I got some pics somewhere from the blizzard last winter in Denver....We got like 42" of snow, and then it drifted for a few hours....I have a picture of a drift on my roof that over hung 50" or more, was about 5' tall, and had to weigh in at 3000 pounds or more....It stayed in place for a few hours, when it fell, the whole house shook like it got hit by a car, and the wall below where it fell was damaged pretty badly.
I got some more pics of neighbors cars piled 10' high in snow, there was a mound of snow down the street from me so high and so big around, it looked like an Eskimo convention center...
