Problem is only one sentance was extraced from page long speaches. Everything on that page carries as much weight as a grain of salt.

Wen't political topics banned from this site?

I didn't mean it as a political statement, only interesting reading of statements. This was forwarded to me by a friend and I thought it was interesting and might provoke a nice off-topic discussion by fellow gun owners. I have heard/read many of the speaches they came from, and the context is as stated. Practically any statement can carry the weight of a grain of salt depending on who you say it to and what they believe.

If you feel this post is against policy, PLEASE remove it. I don't want to cause anyone any problems.

No matter how nice the idea of gun control is, the bad guys will always be able to get them and duck the rules.

I mean, why should *I* have to take a required class (my dad taught me about guns and gun safety), apply for a permit to own a gun, apply for a permit to carry a gun and wait 2 weeks when I can just hit the local 'hood corner and get hooked up?

The only people who follow "the rules" are people who follow "the rules". Bad guys don't follow rules.
