That thing is amazing, I thought it was fake at first, I'm still not 100% sure it's not CGI.

Very cool! Do they make a quiet version that you can ride? It might be good for going hunting.

I know what you mean. I've watched it a few times looking for signs it might be, but if it is, they did a hell of a job.

It is very real. Saw a Documentary on TLC/History/Discovery about this thing. It was the "old version" and it performed much less well. They have come a loooong way in two years.

Lets mount a gun on it and send it to Iraq, and send a few down to the patrol the border here while we are at it. Very cool.

It has to be pneumatic. If you notice, when it was run indoors, all you can hear is the pneumatics. Air is also way faster than hydraulics, & has a storage capacity between strokes. My guess is that the gas engine drives a compressor, but it's kinda odd the way it labors with every step. Maybe the air storage is rather small? I'd also guess that they have a variable hydraulic damper at each cylinder to control the speed, so as to give it some finesse.
As far as the noise MD is referring to, it's of no concern when doing development work. I'm sure it can be muffled out when needed, without killing too much power. It's probably a gas weedwhacker type Zenoah engine, or possibly a smaller model airplane nitro engine.

Maybe. I really like the sinusiodal dingle arm approach too. Do you suppose they mounted it on a baseplate of preframulated amulite?

Air conditioner ECG's are typically made of 7 1/2 AWG jacketed preframulated amulite and run to the sinusoidal dingle bar of the turbo encabulator panel. What this has with measuring kilowatt/hours I don't really know.
MD,
Was that your picture, or your twin brother's?
Why are electricians so fascinated with big words when normal words do the job? Trying to make up for something?

Chill out. It's from an old essay written in the 1940's. More or less nostalgia rather than making up for any particular shortcoming.
