Getting Hammered

I know I'm not the only one drinking like a fish on steroids, and have been for a few years (insert number here). I'm a new guy here, dont know the rules yet but by the time I get here I am hammered sometimes, ok? Damm nowadays I drink 6 days a week, 12-18 a night. Its not right to drink like this but it is what it is. I go through phases.

Thoughts on drinking?

Edit: Its almost 3am saturday morning, I'm almost 46, it doesnt seem like I'll ever learn to slow down.

But how much punishment is enough? My framer (rides with me) took to bringing beers for the ride home and now I drink even more! How much is too much?

Re: Getting Hammered

Average night two should be plenty. I think you need a 12 step program. Either AA or an 11 step pier.

Re: Getting Hammered

I used to do that when I was 21. Now Im lucky if I get drunk or even a good buzz on twice a year. On average I go months without even sipping a beer or any alcohol for that matter.

It is not a phase. It is your life. It is what you choose to do.

No matter what you think, you are always right.

Rather than stating what you do, why not sit back and ask yourself some questions. Maybe something along the line of "why?"

If you think it might be a problem, it might a problem. Stop for a week, if you can't do that you may want to think about it.
Or, just buy the good stuff.

Re: Getting Hammered

I have the utmost respect for my body, and give it whatever it wants.

Right now, it wants a large Brick Oven pepperoni, bacon, salami and pepperoncini pizza and a six pack of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Of course you are.

You mistreat yourself by drinking.
You mistreat yourself by being a contractor.
You mistreat yourself by hanging out here.

Get a job. Then you'll have an excuse for drinking.
