I took my dose of drugs at 7:00am. Then took a shower and now I am waiting to be 'patched into' a mandatory work meeting at 9:00am via the telephone. (Thought it might be a smart idea to "be there" in one form or another.) Well......I forgot about how drowsy some of these drugs can get me. What happens if I zonk out and.....START SNORING or something? Could they hear me?

Bwahahaha....this could be VERY embarrassing!

I'm surprised you could even keep a clear thought process. I'd be giving away freebies, monopolizing the convo, telling them what a louse my boss was somedays. etc.

You mentioned Morphine... I wouldn't even be able to know which end of the phone to speak into. You've already proven tougher than most.

Mission accomplished! Meeting is over!

I was starting to doze off, but I somehow managed to stay awake! (Thank God! ) And, our Regional VP, who conducted the meeting, tried to "include me" wherever possible by saying things like, "How's that sound, Patty?" - or - "Ok by you, Patty?" So, I fought off the morphine the best I could and, thank God, didn't fall asleep. Could you even imagine if I had?

"Hello? Patty? Are you there?"

Too embarrassing!

OK, so this afternoon, I get to see the surgeon. One down, one to go! Hopefully, he can take me off the meds that make me tired and zonk out, and lets me work, at least, part-time.
