Sounds like a discarding sabot petal. The size fits. A 120mm sabot round fired at 55 degrees elevation can travel 67 miles. A training round fired not so far but with the wrong ammunition type indexed into the computer, you can lob some explosives quite a ways.

haven't been up that way in a few years since the addition framing contract from hell in Wharton. ( the house with a half number I posted about quite awhile ago) I though cats had nine lives? I got a pair of replacement cats out in the back foyer they can have for free. Hell ill even deliver.
