Extreme Make Over Show , You Tell Me .

Ok guys I love this show they all do a great service for the people and alot of people need help today and I feel for them, alot of sad stories out there . But dont you think that they could scale it down some to be able to help out more famlies or is it really to help both sides the famlies and net work ratings, tax right offs ? . I wounder how many are able to stay in their homes when all said and done , tax bills, electric bills I've seen where they sometimes pay off the mortgage but in most cases they dont . You tell me .

I'm sure we can all tear apart the show

BUT

why should we...they are helping people in need which is what a lot more of us should be doing more in our own way

here's a link about the show from a little while ago

It's a TV show, it's driven by ratings. If you want to see somebody who is really helping people look to Habitat For Humanity.

Once the ratings fall, the show will be gone and the 20 people they have helped will be the end of them. It's TV, it's about ratings. Habitat for Humanity is about helping people, they've been doing it for 30 years and will continue to even without a TV crew around.

I hate the show
It's disgusting how they exploit people for ratings
Just because they are actually donating something to someone, doesn't mean they aren't a for-profit/ratings company trying to exploit down and out people for tear-jerking moments for ratings (which is of course, equal to money), and doesn't excuse them from exploiting those people (and our emotions)

It's a game show like the other "reality" shows, we just don't see the contest only the winners, which are of course those who has the most Disney "hunter's killed Bambi" heart-wrenching story, rather than who is in the most "need"
The show makes me physically ill

I'd like to see Extreme Makeover say something at the end of each show about "how you can help in your community." Although I like what they do and think it's great, there's far too many in need for them to even scratch the surface.

Ya sears is not making any money on that deal. I have said it before that show is a joke. Any house built in 1 week is going to be a POS Mc mansion. Why not build something sensible and to twice as many? Cause it is not sensational or interesting and therefore not profitable.
