Energy Boosters
Any of you guys, drink or eat anything (outside of alcohol, weed or speed) during the day that will give you a good energy boost.
Energy bar or Sports drink? Lately I have been getting a major symptoms of "Dragging-Ass Syndrome". |

Re: Energy Boosters
I use to drink energy drink but they get addictive. I wouldn't recommend using them because your body starts wanting more and more. But they can cause major health problems sometimes. But if you still want a good pick me up go to your local health store and get some energy drinks from them. I am just on vitamins now and all vitamin B they work great.

Re: Energy Boosters
Snickers bars, Propel, Mountain Dew, lots of ice cold fruits & melons during the summer. I seldom eat traditional meals during the day, too much food at one time will make you hotter and bog you down. It only takes a short break to eat an apple, peach or whatever. I also take a multi-vitamin every morning with a light breakfast of cereal and fruit.

Re: Energy Boosters
I'm one of those unfortunate people who need a lot of sleep each night, to feel energized the next day, but I'm never able to get it. So, I bought a book a few years back called, "Natural Energy Boosters" or something or other, and I’ve been meaning to pick it up again to refresh myself on what it says. I'll let you know. If I remember correctly it was mostly about what vitamins to take.

Now, if I could only fill the prescription.

Re: Energy Boosters
There is a small possibility of depression. I feel it's going to be a temporary stint and don't want to run to the Doc for something that will pass soon.
Lately I have had such a lack of motivation. But most of all, my 'get up and go, got up and went', and I want it back, yesterday. I am going to try eating some fruit during the day. I honestly have not eaten lunch at work for the last six years. Maybe it's finally catching up with me? Though I do take vitamins. But, you guys gave me what I was hoping for, other answers besides 'energy bars'. Those things clog me up for days on end. 'tanks |

Re: Energy Boosters
I would seriously like to try a drug called "provigil"...I have trouble sleeping a lot of times...up at 4 am...then tired at 10 am...it it kills productivity.....so i was reading in Readers Digest one day about Provigil....and it says it keeps you moving through the day..and consequently, you will sleep better at night....but my reason for not doing it is 1) my doctor never heard of it, and 2) I hate taking meds unless I am dying. But I am getting tired of being tired all the time.

Re: Energy Boosters
I used to work at pepsi, on thier loading crew. We would work 3 days on 4 days off and get in about 34-38 hours... Some days were even up to 14-15 hour days. I was poping ripped fuel (high in ephedra btw that stuff kills you) 2 every hour and drinkin sobe adrenline rushes 2+ per hour as well. I had TONS of energy no one else could get as much done as I could. Me and 1 forklift driver would do one side of the truck and be done before 3 guys and 1 fork were done with the other side. I thank God that it did not kill me though. My heart would just start racing 4-5 times a day from all the caffine and crap in my body. So if you really need a pick me up... it works

Re: Energy Boosters
i've been drinking a gallon of water a day during work. Instead of 4 cokes and a big lunch. and down from 60 hours a week to about 45. thats really helped me out of my "dragging ass syndrome".

Re: Energy Boosters
I get feeling that way when i am bored with my work. I can't stand to do the same thing day after day. I love starting new jobs, but soon get a little tired and depressed after doing the same thing.
P.S. I also drink about 5 Mountain Dews a day...... that helps!!!!

Re: Energy Boosters
I drink redline energy drinks from time to time, but they have to be murder on your body. They can make your heart race and make you feel jittery, but dang you get a burst of energy that lasts for about three-four hours. Again though be forewarned, drink very rarely.

Re: Energy Boosters
I've been down the anxiety road with the pills and such and it seems there is'nt a pill that fixes the problem without other side effects weather it be making you sooo laid back you could give a crap if you ever worked again, or they take away your sex drive and you could care less about puzzy. Sure I was finally able to go to bed and not lay there for hours thinking about the next day's agenda, but I always woke up feeling crappey/sleepy and lost my flash gordon speed when on site....so I got off them.
Ephedra is the chit if you need get up and go....hell, you'd literally be able to fire your crew and do it all yourself since you'd be looking for stuff to do....did that stint also and lucky it did'nt kill me, literally was taking upto 20 pills a night/day to stay going when I was working 20hr days (1st and 3rd shifts)....but I was a bad mutha weather I was loading the semi's or building a project LOL!! If ya find it lemme know....I typically dont eat lunch either, but I've found the few times I do go to a cafe or something and order a light meal it give you a mental break away from the job site (which helps ALOT in itself to take your mind off things) and the light lunch gives you fuel for the back half of the day....just stay away from greezy azzed fast food unless it's like Subway or something light...I always drag more azz when we come back from a meal that I had heavy foods. |
