The Droopy Draws Crowd

I'M 64 ,son is 38. We're at the sprint store getting new phones. Busy about 10 folks 3 sales clerks. Look over a nice looking young kid neatley combed corn rows [maybe 20] is in next line. Nice clean clothes. big kid about 6ft 3" . pants down 1/2 way on his blue boxer shorts. top button undone, zipper 1/2 down belt undone. I'M next to the glass doors. Kid approaches exit. I say "hey Bud ,I don't know if You realize this , but your pants are about to fall off! And you forgot to tie your belt!" He gives Me a look,I smile. My son laughs. The customers smiled, and a few thumbs up. I'm tired of this crap! Yea I'm a crazy old coot

Almost nothing funnier than watching a kid swagger-walk down the street holding a boom box in one hand, and holding his pants up with the other, and thinking he is "so cool!"

And I agree with George Carlin, if your over 12 years old, white, and wear your baseball hat backwards - Automatic Loser! If you wear it sideways, you need to jump in front of a bus cuz you got absolutley nothing goin' for you!

I'm sure if a study were to be done, - - the drawer-height and the dome-light would prove proportional . . .

Re: The Droopy Draws Crowd

I remember an episode of Cops the TV show where they were chasing a couple of idiots wearing their pants like that (halfway down their ass), and they were easily caught because of it. I always figured if I joined the criminal element I would probably were some jogging pants and sneakers for a fast get away.

Make sure to tie your shoes laces, I am not a fan of the untied laces and the tags hanging off of the shoes. Not sure if they are proud of the price or whatever is on the tag or the I just stole these shoes look.

I really don't like the droopy drawers look either, but the VA bill seems bad to me. It talks about the display of undershorts in a lewd and indecent manner. I certainly don't want to see a guy's undershorts, but among the droopy drawers crowd, it's generally boxers. They're functionally or visually really no different than ordinary athletic or gym shorts. Bad fashion, in my opinion, but a far cry from lewd or indecent. A whale tail, from the females, is a horse of another color, however.

Ordinances have been enacted in six Louisiana cities

Re: The Droopy Draws Crowd

MD, not sure how old you are.. I'm guessing closer to my age (39) but if you went through the eighties as a teen your pants probably came close to choking of your ability for procreation. I see these kids and get annoyed more at the cultural cross over and wannabes than I do the fact that they are expressing themselves. If I had to choose loose fitting pants or a kid with jet black dyed hair and black lipstick with an "I hate the world atitude" I guess I choose the former.

Re: The Droopy Draws Crowd

My son went through the 'low boys' in his pre-teens. One night we were chiding him about the look and probabilities. 5 mins. later we went out to eat and just outside of the front door the pants lost their whisper of a grip and fell to the ground. He's much older and wiser now but it's still a funny story in our circle.

True story, had company one afternoon,we were watching a GTA high speed chase, Live on TV. Suspect came to a traffic jam, got out and started running, using one hand on his belt to keep his pants up, ran towards a trigger happy cop who shot him dead, said he was reaching in his waistband for a weapon.
