Is catering on the beach legal? I have a budget of $375, and need catering for 20-25 people. I cannot afford to pay more than $375 so please don't respond to me unless you feel confident you can provide the catering for that amount all inclusive. I'm hoping to set up something buffet style, preferable on the beach if it's legal to have it there... don't know what beach yet and would welcome suggestions. Getting married on 9/10 so if we pick a beach to get married on then we'd probably want the catering there. If we settle on a beach to have catering on, then we'll probably get married on that beach.... hopefully that makes sense.

Please respond if your interested. If you have any references or web site links they would be greatly appreciated and put you at the top of the heap...

The night before her wedding this gal is going to be busy making sloppy joes and potato salad.

Give her the tubesteak buffet.

Either that, or maybe the trouser-trout smothered in underwear.

Lets see 25 people divided into 375 equals 15 dollars for food, transport, gas, wages, sternos, silverware etc... so food budget should be around .75 per person.

Re: Do You Prefer Big Macs Or Whoppers?

I went to BK for lunch today. Tendercrisp chicken sandwich, large fries, large coke=$9.20. That should give you an idea of food prices here.

Bread= $6/loaf
Milk= $7/gal
Eggs= $4/dozen
Ribeye steak= 13.49/lb.
Ice cream= $6 1/2 gallon-and that is store brand

Somebody will surely take that on though. I sent a reply-gave her links to the proper office to get permits for a beach wedding, and warned her to be highly skeptical of anyone taking that job on, and suggested she cut her budget elsewhere to have more for the food.

I should take the job. I could a few bags of lawn clippings and tell them it's a vegan buffet. I'm sure I could pull that off without going over budget, but I'd still end up working for about $8/hr.

Wow some people really are tight. Might as well tell the guests to bring a boxed lunch.

Yeah that must suck going to those beaches too...

I've never been to Hawaii but it's on the short list right next to Alaska.
