Display Steam Generator??

We've got a steam shower that I'd like to display at an upcoming show (just the steamer function) and I don't know quite how to do it. This is a fully self enclosed unit, the only thing that I need to get to it is a little bit of water pressure.

There are two water inputs that come from flexible hoses and both have 1/2" NPT threaded fittings on the ends. Then they go to a diverter valve that splits the water to the steam generator, foot massager, or shower head.

I only want to display the steam function so I only need enough water pressure to send water to the steam generator. We'll probably just bring the water in with a bucket or something because this is an outdoor show.

Any ideas as to how to accomplish this easily without making an elaborate system for a 1 day show?

Thanks!

What water pressure does the steam unit require?

Could you just pipe it up to a party fogger instead?

Barely any, as long as water gets to it, it's fine.

Drill a hole in the bottom of a five gallon bucket the right size to fit a 1/2" IP fitting, use a 1/2 MIP by 3/8 OD compression adapter on the bottom of the bucket with a rubber washer and a lock nut, and hang the bucket from a tree limb. You can use a hose to refill the bucket as needed.

Re: Display Steam Generator??

I'm thinking some kind of gravity feed- some kind of reservoir as high as you can, and run a hose to your fittings.

if that won't create enough pressure, get a decent sized tank that you can pressurize, with a water outlet on the bottom of the tank. Fill the tank with water, cap it off, and use a small compressor to pressurize the tank. If you just connect the tank to the compressor with a quick connect, the tank pressure will stay at whatever you set the regulator at as long as you don't open the tank. The only problem is that you still need to get water into the tank. the shower won't work when you are filling the tank.

the more complicated but professional setup would be a small cheap pressure tank, with a small electric pump to fill it from a bucket. Skid mount the whole thing and carry it with you.
