Discontinued Cell Phones

We have older Motorola cell phones mounted in our service trucks. We need to find someone local (Chicagoland) that can work on these hardmount cell phones. We have tried using new handheld cell phones but they simply do not put out the signal that these older phones do and as a result will drop calls.

Anyone have ideas?

Re: Discontinued Cell Phones

I'm in the chicago area and last year we were getitng faxes from some company offering to buy cellphones back. We sold them a box of old nextel for $20.

I have very few dropped calls. I use cingular hand held phone. The key is to buy a good phone and not take the chrap crap they give out for free. You get what you pay for, and after using several types of phones with at least 4 carriers, I have discovered this secrete: The phone means as much as the provider.
