I just saw Flip this house - Cat house epiosode on A and E . That was the worst house I have ever seen that some one was living in. It had all the goodies : cats ,roaches, fecces, big rats and tons of garbage. If you get a chance check it out. This house was truely disgusting

I saw that one. I like to see what they do with the house but I hate all the dramatic crap.
What kind of deals do you suppose they give those contractors that start their price at 18k and settle on $13,500?
I think that gives HO the wrong impression.

I watched some of it. I fast-forwarded through most of the show. The house was disgusting, but they made too much of it. Here, they would have hired some illegals from home cheapo and cleaned it up in a day for $300. I get sick of all the whinning on the show. Just shup up and build the house already.

That guy was found guilty of some kind of real estate fraud..or something. AnE yanked his appearings from the shows.... I thought it was a BMW...

I really do hate those shows...the worst is the gay guy with the botox lips in Los Angeles....Jeff...or whatever. He is the worst one. Nothing worse than a bitchy gay house flipper.

I like the guys from Georgia.....Trademark....I think is their name. They have a new(er) one...the real deal, but I don't see it come up anymore. But they are all the same, the quality is just above horrible (sometimes) the owner yells at brain dead idiots to hurry up, and the producer doesn't show the other half of the house that is unfinished. They put these 15K budget amounts and a 10 day timeline...That has an affect on the market. Makes it interesting when discussing remods...

I happened upon the "Cat House" episode of "Flip This House" on A&E this morning and was thouroughly disgusted with what I saw...for two reasons: First: That house should have been condemned and torn down, period. Second: Armondo, or whatever his name really is, sure has lots of "balls" selling that house to anybody at all after seeing with his own eyes what was living in the walls, floors, etc. of that house. I have to give his brother credit for seemingly walking away from that project. I laughed out loud every time Armondo was complaining of how he was sick and couldn't sleep over this house...I hope he got literally sick and was hospitalized over this as his punishment for what he did to the poor schleps who purchased that house he "renovated" and I hope and pray the two little girls who now live there don't get bitten by some of the rats or other vermin likely still living in those walls or floors. Bottom line: Armondo is a CROOK and gives us legitimate contractors a really bad name.

Armondo's show has four types of audiences. The first type watces it for the entertainment value - it has drama and comedy. The second type watch it trying to learn something. The third type (which would probably include most, if not all, of us) is that group of people who can't take their eyes off of a train wreck. The fourth group sees it as a documentary of brown on brown exploitation.

I actually ran into the brother and his wife at a lunch place at the Belagio not long after he walked away from the cat house. I told him I enjoyed the show and asked if it was an accurate way his brother was portrayed. He thanked me and said "yep, pretty much the way he is".
