Dear Salesperson(s)

Dear Salesperson,

Lumber Supplier dude, nope I do not want to go on a golf outing. First of all it’s mid October in Chicago, if it’s not raining then it’s too damn cold for me to Golf. Why did you not call me for a Golf outing when it was between May and September and we could have hired some lady’s to caddy for us? Why now? No thanks.

Window Supplier Lady …. When I said that I really don’t ever see me wanting to tour Marvin Windows the last five times you asked, I meant it. Sure, your offer of a free bus ride to and from Marvin, along with a lunch, most likely bagged, is oh so tempting, I can’t see it doing anything other than force me to be on a bus with other miserable people just like myself. Once you have changed the bus to accommodate me and five other contractors, with all of the remaining seating to be filled by the women from the 2005 College Cheerleader’s Championship, and have a fully stocked open bar throughout the trip not only there but also back, then yea, in that case I will go to Marvin Windows with you.

Ceramic Tile Distributor … So nothing has changed since I was there last, yet you want to show me your new product? You know, last time I almost fell for it, but frankly a different color lot tile doesn’t constitute as a new product for me. Unless you have cocktails and a belly dancer, I am not interested.

Then to find four calls a day, all from Florida, wondering if I do insurance renovation work? What’s the scam? Oh, I know the scam … but honestly, call the company number once, maybe twice and leave your number. If I feel like calling you back I will, if not then your solicitation will be promptly erased. But why, Beverly, do you insist on calling me twice a day, every day for the last two weeks. At least if you are going to solicit me, say my company name right … If I ever get to talk to you in person Beverly, I want you to repeat some things back to me in your southern draw. It will not be professional, but Beverly, that southern draw and the things I will want you to say are no where near professional or even legal in some states.

Stop the heavy solicitations, when I need your product I enter your front door.
If you don’t see me, then I don’t need you.
Let’s keep the relationship like that, and we will both be happy.
But, please, still mail me when you have 50% sales, those I like…

Sincerely,

Peladu

Re: Dear Salesperson(s)

Pel, the "Pink Pages" keep calling me to place an ad. I had my office manager call around to see if any other business' had luck with them. No luck at all. The sales guy insist that it is a great deal....ME- if no one is getting new clients then how is it a great deal? Him- because I am offering you 20% or so off. Me-if no one calls me then how will it help me, will it not just hurt me to spend $900? Him- but you are saving $200.

At least you get calls that offer you something, everyone just wants money from me.

Re: Dear Salesperson(s)

I love it when my sales guys call and ask if there is anything they can do for me
Lower your damned prices would be a great start

I can always tell when things slow down..suddenly they remember people that are smaller buyers. "I wish I had a hundred customers like you" is the one I hear often. Perhaps if you tried a little harder I would shop more with you

I don't want to slam all sales people but most are a pain in the ass. The rest are just learning to be

Well, you know what we say around here.....................

If a person can't making a living working or running his own business, he can always be a truck driver, insurance agent, or a salesman.

Meaning that........ If a person can't make it working for living, they can always be a truck driver, insurance agent, or a salesman

With salesman being the topic of this thread.

My bad.... I mean salesperson.
