This Day Stinks

My favourite uncle just had a knee replacement a month or so ago. Now I find out last night that he had at least 1 heart attack. Possibly 2 yesterday and one a week ago. I hope and pray that he is ok after this one and fixes up his eating habits.

Sorry to hear that, prayers for your family, try to keep your chin up and be a source of strength for your uncle as I am sure he needs all he can get right now.

Re: This Day Stinks

I am for sure. He is big and tough. I am there for him when ever he needs it no questions asked.

He has a pellet stove that needs to have a chimney installed for it. I am taking care of it through one of his friends. I am 4 hours away so its hard to up and go do it myself.

I know they will do it for him and make sure its safe by having a licensed pro do it. I will pay them back for that plus interest. He's a good man and worked hard in the same field as me. So our hearts are very close.

We have a connection that no one else would or could ever understand. Uncle sounds so shallow when describing him.

Hope for the best.

Kinda weird thing though. I know of two other guys having heart problems after knee replacement. Hmmm, coincidence......Maybe

Re: This Day Stinks

Today is worse. he had another heart attack today. Glad he was in the ICU at the time. I am going to raise hell when I go up there tomorrow though. They are waiting until Monday to get him down to new market because the E.R. there is full or not enough beds right now. Its bull sh!t. They damn well should have flown him down to Toronto today if New Market couldn't do it before then.

Were the hell is the damn beer thread when you need it?

Re: This Day Stinks

UPdate. He is doing ok guys. His colour is good and he is in good spirits. My aunt told me that she found out that he had been having chest pains for more than a week prior. Stubborn is in fact his middle name.

Also he was out digging dirt to fill in under the addition that he felt he had to have filled. THis only 2 weeks after he got home after his knee replacement. Let me tell you I laid into him about that. He promised me he would put an end to that.

I made arrangements to have someone finnish his pellet stove installation and ordered 10 - 40 pound bag to be delivered middle of next week for my aunt.

I told him that if his surgeon found out he was trying to chop wood and dig dirt that soon after his knee surgery he could bet a milllion dollars he could kiss the other knee good bye.

So I think I got his thinking straightened out on that. Told him listen you are not supposed to drive for 6 to 8 weeks after because your too weak for it after any surgery. What the hell you think your doing that for I don't know but it has got to stop and now.

I said you know you are not supposed to walk around the house without a cane because of your knee why the hell are you outside without one?

Velvet hammer boys velvet hammer. I love him so much and we are closer than my Dad and I ever were. I will be damned to hell before I let him ruin himself like that.
