A Day At The Ball Park
Stub Hub! It works.
So Dodgers stadium is anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hrs away depending on traffic. Game start was at 1:10P.M. Sunday...so we left around 11. Driving down the 101...there a few ways I could go to get their. Since is was a late Sunday morning I thought...just stay on the 101, it's usually not that bad. My GPS all the sudden displayed a little indicator that there was a traffic delay of about 5 minutes...no biggie. Few minutes later I see the detour icon. I press it....it says road closed ahead and that showed the location of the incident. Well that was the 101 and the 405. It's one of the most busiest interchanges on this side of the country. Apparently someone shot someone else in the head and killed him early this morning.... I could see the GPS was showing my direction of traffic comming to a complete stop very soon. I got off as soon as I could and spent an hour and a half going through mexico...er I mean the East Valley / Burbank to get to the park. Made in time for the second inning. Anyhow...It was a great day at the ball park. Kids ate "Dodger Dogs" I drank $10 - 16oz MGD piss beers and yelled at players for a while. My sox sucked butt today. No hitter till the 6th and they lost 8-0 with one hit and 2 errors. But who cares....it was just practice game. Now if the Sox had won...I'd be trashing the Dodgers . I do love live base ball, however with what I went through this morning.....just watching it on HD would have been almost as nice! Here's some pics!view.jpg fat-ass.jpg full-view.jpg

Re: A Day At The Ball Park
Where was everyone going on a Sunday morning in LA? Obviously not to the game, 1/2 the seats are empty!!!
That's okay, the A's games are just as bad, 1/2 empty but the 880 is packed. Giants games are usually full...and easier to get in and out of???

Today at max the stadium was maybe 60% full. Regular season games draw a bigger crowd. In 2003 I drove up to Oakland for game 7 of the ALDS between the Sox and A's. Drove up - did 9 innings - drove back down. That was brutal but it was game 7 so I really didn't have much of a choice! Red Sox won that game / series
