Re: DAMB Thats Expensive

jk ... its the shipping costs ... it happens to lightweight products that takes a high ratio of space to weight in shipping ... cereals are another example although the price hasn't increased as much as chips ... now consider can goods, low ratio of weight to space because you're shipping less "air" and you don't see the price increases like you have on chips

RWA
so ur saying cuz there's less chips in the bag then there use to be there is more air and that is why the shipping has gone up. Gotcha haha just playing
i hear ya. it's just a lil insane and a real eye opener when u look at the costs of goods compared to 4 5 years ago rather then just becoming acclimated to them through gradual increase over time

Ice cream peaves me off. Went from 2L container down to 1.5 liter and they charge more for it whats that all about? I don't care if I pay more but hell try keeping the packages the same size.

Another one POP. a 600ml bottle used to be around $1.00. Now its more than a 2 liter bottle whats up with that? Its over $2.49 now. Its insane. I stopped buying smaller packages all together.

I got a letter from my supplier about a 20% increase on drywall, things are busy they raise the prices, things are slow they raise the pricese, and homeowners and others are trying to get contractors to lower their prices because we are slow.

Sheet metal is expected to increase drastically as well. You can't just assume the cost of goods anymore, or you will get burned.
