Dam Credit Card Companies
yeah this isnt the normal rant about interest rates, late fees etc. I dont really care about those because i almost always pay my full balance monthly . I actually dont even mind paying 30.00 or so a month to use their service. i charge just about everything and then only have to write 1 or 2 checks a month .
My big complaint is you cannot get ahold of an actual person when you call them wich sucked because i lost my wallet and sort of panicked i called up and canceled it right away using the automated sytem , well i then found my wallet 20 minuets later the cat had knocked it off my counter and pushed it under a toe kick , anyways i then tried calling them back to try uncancelling it and all i could get was the dam automated sytem. push 1 for this push 2 for that blah blah blah blah .

Re: Dam Credit Card Companies
thats nothing.
like you I use credit cards for everything and pay in full every month. about a year ago I had an 820 credit score and a $30,000 limit on one chase card alone, being the points whore that I am, every couple of months, they would send me an offer for 12,000 bonus points with new card. Cool, apply, get card, pay and close other card, get points after first transaction, WRONG! Around this time last year while booking flights to vegas for deck expo (using continental onepass points) I noticed a major discrepency in my one pass account, all earned points in my onepass account matched monthly earned points on my chase statements EXCEPT FOR those (12,000 bonus points x 5 different card upgrades = 60,000 points) Getting this straightened out with chase customer service proved to be an excersize in futility, so I opened accounts with cap1 and amex (both business accounts), paid and closed chase (personal account), HUGE MISTAKE! Since I opened both new cards with my EIN, (amex doesn't do anything for your credit score anyway), and chase was my only personal revolving credit, when I closed the account, my credit score ceased to exist, effectively going from 820 to N/A (Credit history is perfect and perfectly intact, but score is a big fat zero) Additionally while opening the other 2 cards with $2000 limit each, I went from $30,000 limit to $4000 which has turned my 2007 accounting and tax prep into an abortion, with transactions spanning 3 different credit cards, with tons of overflow into various checks and debit cards from personal checking, money market and business checking accounts. with the year still being new, and seperated biz and personal credit and banking accounts, and starting QB off fresh this year (instead of half way through a year), and laboring tediously for countless hours and nights to get my 2007 abortion un-aborted, I'm just now feeling somewhat relieved after a year of intense stress. Thanks Chase |

Re: Dam Credit Card Companies
Be careful with CC, with a possible new Democrat Govt taking over and legislation/law on bad/subprime mortgage rates versus bankruptcy regulations, most CC lenders/banks (i.e., BoA, Chase, Capital One, etc.) now do 2 following:
1. If they see people cashes out HEAVY/BIG amounts on high balance cards frequently, they will automatically REDUCE/CUT down the maximum credit line so you can NOT cash out further; 2. If they see more charges per month with minimum balance due cards, they will automatically INCREASE rates up to 20%~25%. If you complain, they will said you have only 2 options: Either payoff/reduce full balance to have old/cheap rates back in or QUIT (Close/Cancel your accounts and pay off balance). They will NOT notify you by mail BEFORE they do that! You may ask why they do that? .. Simple, they expect Democrats will have more easy laws for CC customers' protection, and more customers will file for BK once Democrats take over, so they use computers to EARLIER detect the HIGH-RISK takers and WIPE them out first to avoid another, second big waves of BK filers coming in future with bigger CC losses. |

Re: Dam Credit Card Companies
When I started looking at mortgage companies, and we had just cosigned a loan for my son, I noticed my interest rates went up around 5 points on the 2 cards I have....answer? Pay them off, and keep them open until my new home loan is finalized, then trash them. It should be illegal to jack interest rates on a perfect payment history.
