CT Quality Control

I was working outside in the rain yesterday. Well, more like a light drizzle. Cutting deck stair stringers out of 2 X 12 pressure treated.
I was not in the best of moods, having an off day, I wasn't doing things, shall we say, to the best of my abilities. A touch on the sloppy side, including safety. Almost cut through the cord of my SkilSaw.
It suddenly occurred to me, what if there was a live web cam feed to the CT site and everyone was watching me and posting critiques and evaluations, replete with hoots and cat-calls.
The mere thought of it made me square my a$$ away and git my sh!t wired tight.

yikes!

How many of us would give up from the abuse?
Heck, how would RBS get anything done- he'd be too busy busting our tails!

A little off topic but a suggestion for you.

I have a 10'x10' "market" canopy (those ones you see at outdoor flea markets, etc. that are self contained as far as the poles and cover go) that I set up on hot days and days where there is a chance of drizzle/light rain. It saves running for the trailer to get out of the rain and gives you a place to keep working and stay dry for cutting stringers and the like. In the hot weather it provides a shady work area. I always have the mitre saw & stand set up under it.

This is how lazy I was being: I have the exact type of canopy of which you speak on the job site! I just didn't set it up.
