Cool Houses
My latest gig has me driving an hour each way up the west arm of the Kootenay Lake. Thought I'd post a couple pics of a couple cool houses up that way.
The first one is most of an old stern wheeler built in 1913 that used to run on Kootenay Lake, the SS Nasookin. ![]() ![]() This one is Blaylock's Mansion, Built in the 30's by the general manager of Cominco, a smelter in Trail. ![]() ![]()

Re: Cool Houses
This guy overbuilt the neighborhood by a slight margin.

heres a few links, the first is a pdf of a magazine article, the second is the SS Bonnington, a sister ship to the Nasookin. And a pic of the Nasookin in service. Once the biggest lake ship west of the Mississippi. http://www.dougpyperphoto.com/galler...Shore_2005.pdf http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Bonnington_(sternwheeler)_dining_salon_ca_191 2.PNG
