Coffee, Tea Or...?

Is coffee still a universal breakfast amongst contractors? At one time 7-11 was the only place to buy it. I don't see as many guys at the local 7-11 between 5:30 and 6:30 anymore. Are many tradesmen now saying "tall, grande or venti" as they order their java?

Re: Coffee, Tea Or...?

I refuse to order coffee if I have to speak another language, or pay twice the average cost (Ie: Starbucks). Infact I prefer to order coffee at the locations where I can mix it myself. I have found White Hen (similiar to 7-11) has the best coffee. If I show up at 5 am I am usually in and out in less than a minute. If i want until 7 am, I have to wait in line.

If I get dragged into some yuppie joint, I say "I want a cup of coffee" They will ask me again about grandes, lattes etc. I say "I want a cup of coffee". I keep saying that until I get one. Mornings don't work for me without my fair trade cup of java. Rich.

I love straight black coffee.

Starbucks is overrated. Who wants to pay $5 for a cup of coffee.

No matter how many times I try to kick it, I always go back to good old coffee. It's just not right without that familiar smell going through the house in the am!

Coffee in the winter. Don't care where from. Any rot-gut gas station is fine.

Mountain Dew in the summer.

I have to confess that I like how Starbucks tastes, but the price and silly dialogue you have to engage in (Would you like room in that for cream sir?) is more than I'm willing to committ to the process of buying a cup of coffee. If I don't brew it at the house, it's usually from McD's.

Dunkin' Donuts makes a fine brew and sells the beans too. I have an auto start coffee maker and get it ready the night before so that I can smell it when I wake up. Black is fine, cream & sugar if you got it.

My grandfather always drank Folger's and sometimes I buy it just for the nostalgia factor.

I love dunkin donuts coffee.... The beans you buy from them don't taste nearly as good though. My theory is that they use a very mild blend that absorbs the aromas of the doughnuts, giving it that hard to reproduce taste.

I guess I'm the odd one around here...

I never have liked the smell or taste of coffee. Diet Coke is my "vice" as far as caffinated drinks go.
