Closing Threads

Cole, what is the policy on having a thread closed. We were having a discussion. It hadn't deminished beyond doing any good to anyone, it wasn't demeaning to anyone, and as far as I could see, it wasn't getting out of hand in any way. So do tell, oh great moderator, why was it closed?

(refering to the screw jacks/porch roofs discussion)

I guess by tomorrow I'll either be banned or be asking why THIS was deleted, but I feel I have a right to know.

Re: Closing Threads

I guess, but I can honestly say I saw no reason at all to close it.

Re: Closing Threads

Yeah, - - pretty disappointing, - - I didn't even get a chance to enter the 'ring' yet!!

Seriously though, - - I didn't see too much wrong with it either, - - but as the site gets more crowded, - - we tend to get more of the P.C. 'id-yots'.

Might be indicative, once again, about who this site is for, - - and who belongs on it.

Not for the D.I.Y., - - not for the P.C.

Didn't know it was ever OFF topic, but OK.
