Cigarettes

I used to smoke two plus packs a day. Natural American Spirit, non filtered.

It's been years since I smoked. I was at the store today, and seen my dear old friends there-and they were $9.20/pack!!

Generics were $7.75.

How can you NOT quit with those prices? They were right around three bucks when I stopped.

And oddly enough, it was the first time since I quit that I wanted to buy a pack.

So...what are prices in your back yard?

Yes and No, although the US spends far more per GDP then cananda, individual Canadians pay only a few percent less then the average american (since the insurance burden in the US).

See although we supposidly have "public health care" it is still a multi-tiered system. If its your teeth, you pay, your feet, you pay, your eyes, you pay, ambulance you pay, drugs, you pay. Ok so I don't pay to get my thumb sown back on when I saw it off, but I pay for everything else.

Its not as sweet as you think it is, nearly everthing people in Ontario buy pay a 13% tax, 8PST and 5GST. A couple years ago it was 15%!

The government is going to take your money one way or another, atleast this way it puts the tax burden on the heavy smokers

Re: Cigarettes

Honestly, I'd rather smoke weed than tobacco. It'd save me some money since I have a small greenhouse, and there's no drug testing where I work!

Don't all landscapers? or is that drywall sanders?

Weed would be great if instead of working I wanted to vomit and fall asleep.

Re: Cigarettes

It just makes me really hungry and mellow. Not that I've ever tried it. I'm just saying that I think that's what it would do.

Re: Cigarettes

As prices narrow I'm thinking of going back to pot, at least you get more bang for your buck! I wonder if the powers ever thought of THIS.

I've been reefer free for 30 yrs. Leave it to the Gov't to get me started again!

Good. They can pay for a small chunk of their own damn health care when their lungs are rotted out.
