Re: Check You ISP Speed.

I hate some of you.

1,200 down, 700 up on a good day

900 down, 500 up on a regular day.

To run cable to my house would cost me $28,000.

DSL is not an option.

Satellite sucks

T1 is big bucks.

Cellular broadband sucks.

Dial up is too slow.

I have one viable option. WISP.

Re: Check You ISP Speed.

From my desktop which is connected directly to the wireless router gets:

21,800 down
1800 up

but from my the laptop over the wireless I get:

7100 down
1600 up.

I was surprised that the upload speed did not decrease at a similar rate to the download speed.

Re: Check You ISP Speed.

Ok someone help me figure this out

First test is using Chrome and is fairly consistant at this slow speed.
Second is with MS Explorer did one test, then the other, both are browser consistent.

Verizon just bumped my speed up to 20 meg/sec which is what it shows for IE but less than 2 meg/sec with Chrome.

Any Idea why the difference, I thought Chrome was the shirt?

At the desired screen..........."Control and Print Screen", then open Microsoft "paint" or the like........Press "Control 'V' ". You can then edit your image. Copy and apply after posting to a site such a Photo Bucket!

On the site there is a place to copy it. After the test runs it will switch to the report screen. In the lower left corner are three choices, choose the one for forums. When you get back here use the paste control and it will deposit a link.
