Cement Truck Racing

I'd love to see it. Stuff like that always makes me smile.

That is all.

Re: Cement Truck Racing

Go to Europe. If it has wheels, they will race it. You might find ready-mix trucks racing.

To them truck racing is real truck racing and not some puny Toyotas, Fords and Chev pick-ups. - They race real trucks like huge all-out semi tractors (MAN, Volvo, and maybe a few American Peterbilts, Kenworths throuwn in for food.)

I about went head-on with one today. He was going so fast around a curve on a country road, he had to be on my side of the road to make it. Luckily, I happened to anticipate this since I saw him coming, and jammed the brakes on hard. Scary. It was a big ole Oshkosh with a McNeilus transit mixer. Bad news...

With full load, what do you think the 1/4 mile time would be? It's gotta be around 30 seconds...

Hey, if the MythBusters can blow up a couple of them, we can race them. What's a used cement truck go for? Turn them up, like they do at the tractor pulls, and you'll have black smoke churning out of them puppies in no time.

Re: Cement Truck Racing

I hope he had a chance to dump the sugar in the drum and get a few turns out of it.

You can also salvage the engine and drum drive if it tips. - Maybe the flaps too.

"I left it RIGHT HERE." Funniest moment. Actually it was all funny. I'm still a child.

I like that school bus racing btw. BOBO looks to have some extreme strain on the steering system.

I've been on some buses with drivers that might have been in that race- the scariest was the one that sideswiped a telephone pole and didn't realize.
