Cell Phone Minutes

I average around 1,000 per month and have free Nights and Weekends

Biggest ever was 1,800 in a month, with free Nights and Weekends.

How do you fair?

Re: Cell Phone Minutes

Adam, you spend on average 2.8 hours a day, 7 days a week, on the phone?
You're what I refer to as a "Cell phone contractor".
I thought I was bad.

I have a 1400 minute plan, with typical free everything else.
I average under 1000 minutes, which include my wife's 13 minutes a month.

Re: Cell Phone Minutes

I just switched to a new plan. 1000 LD min. a month, 850 anytime minutes and free nights (after 6:00 p.m.) and weekends for two phones. We actually cancelled our home phone because the two cell phones cover all our needs.

Re: Cell Phone Minutes

I dont use my phone very often. Me and my wife share 400 minutes and have unlimited between us and any other cingular customer. We always have minutes that rollover I know I will use my phone a lot more when the summer comes. We dont have a home phone either a pointless waste of money why would I want a phone that I cant take with me?

I don't know that pouch looks like you just bought it for the picture.

Seriously though why do you wear your hammer on the back side? I can't tell what's on the right maybe it's something handier like your cell phone...

Re: Cell Phone Minutes

On a side note of this, I HATE when I see a guy that I am paying hourly flapping his jaws on the cell phone. It's always the new guy, because the guys that have worked for me in the past know not to do it. I have a big bark, and they don't want to be sent home. But coming up on a job and seeing the newbie flapping away makes me want to throw a brick at his head.

Re: Cell Phone Minutes

Most of my time is 2-way talk, and very little cell phone talk. Everyone has Nextel now. Heck, I can two-way the supply houses. It's quicker too... you do a virtual "butt in line" when you BE-BE-BEEP.

Re: Cell Phone Minutes

I have 1200 mins and rarely use them all. Most common is 600-800, I tend to keep things brief. It's a carryover from the old days when you had daily access fees and regular service was $.35 a min. or more. Your 'home range' was restricted to your county too.

Cole, you spend 7.3 8hr. days on the phone per month? Ol#2 is in sales and only scores about 2000 hrs. I know that she talks a lot. A portion of it about nothing.

Re: Cell Phone Minutes

I'll part from the (norm'??) here, - - I think I have about 300 minutes, - - never talked more than about 30, - - I don't even turn the damn thing on, - - I got work to do, - - the only time I even turn it on is to 'call out', or if I'm expecting a specific call.

And I agree with Peladu, - - guys that sit there yakkin' on the phone when they're supposed to be workin' drive me nuts, - - I always say real loud "DO THEY KNOW YOU'RE AT WORK RIGHT NOW"?? The call tends to end abruptly after that.

Re: Cell Phone Minutes

How about this? I charge (deduct from paycheck) 50¢ a minute for every minute they talk on the phone.
Maybe something for them to sign when they fill out their W4.

That's a little over the top.

I don't mind if a guy gets quick call from the wife telling him to pick up bread and milk on the way home, and I also don't mind if a guy makes a quick call home to see if the kids got off the bus okay or whatever. A quick minute or two call here and there can makes a guy's life a lot more stress free, I believe. It's not like I'm gonna miss that productivity. It's the guys that talk to their buds for 15 minutes at a go about going 4-wheeling this weekend, or last night's game or whatever that get the hammer.

Yeah, - - I don't mind a call of some 'substance', - - I'm talkin' about BS calls, which there are plenty of if they can get away with it.

Don't doubt soon these youngin's will be gettin' surgical implants!!

The bag was a replacement for my oxie tripples. After years of bad habit with razor knife being left open I created a hole. Now I have my new bags

And yea on the right side I have another case that is for my cell phone attached custom made above my air hose hooks. I loop my hose on that hook with mountain climbing gear hook while working up high cutting in roofs. I dont need a cut man on the ground messing up my gig.

The hammer is always off to the right depending how many times it hits me and drives me crazy during the day.

Sorry for the off post topic on this matter. Cell phones ringing I have to go
