So I'm at a property today. Two ponds on the property. Small bridge between the two.

HO had some concerns where the concrete was cracking and some rocks falling away on one side of the bridge.

I'm down there on the bank-fairly steep, about 6 foot drop. As i'm getting back up, a rock I'm standing on wobbles and I lose balance. Go to step back, but it's not solid ground. My leg sinks to the knee in swamp muck, I fall over backwards, my a$$ manages to land just past the bank edge.

Just enough for my torso and head to completely submerge backwards into the murky water.

And because I was on an incline, I had to do basically an extreme sit-up to get out.

THANK GOD I am in shape, or this may not have ended well.

And of course, the HO was standing right there to witness the whole thing.

I told him "go ahead-you know you want to", at which point we both busted a gut laughing about the whole incident.

This was after I had given him a bid on some tree work (a few g's worth of work). I could tell he was on the fence over the price, but after the laughter, he asked where to sign.

I may have to incorporate similar techniques in the future.

As long as you're OK and no bodily harm comes to you I think you're on to something.

I will say that's WAY out of the box thinking on a deal closer!
