Car Insurance

What do you guys pay for car insurance? I bought a truck a few days ago and was looking for car insurance cheaper then the one I have now, I figured it would be a good time to switch and just add the truck on with it. A 1992 gmc jimmy is costing me around $800 a year, if I add the truck it will be over $1600 for both and the truck is a 92 also. Why so high, Ive never been in a accident, never even been pulled over before. It will cost more for 1 year of insurance for the truck then what I payed for it. I couldnt imagine what full coverage would cost on a $60,000 truck.

Re: Car Insurance

I am in the same boat, just started shopping for insurance this last week, still waiting for replys. I am paying over $2200 a year for 2 vehicles, a 2003 Neon (full coverage) and a 2000 chevy custom van (PLPD only.) My wife and I are both over 45, perfect driving records, etc. Insurance keeps going up, living in Metro Detroit (Oakland County) sure doesnt help. We'll see waht happens...

Must be something about michigan. Im going to see if I put farm plates on it if I could get it insured cheaper. My uncle has his truck insured as a pleasure vehicle which I think is 17,000 miles a year or less and his insurence was about 1/2. So you may want to look into that too.
