Re: Bye Bye Liberals

Sorry, but most people down here don't know enough about Canadian politics to have an opinion.

It won't be a majority though - which means we'll be back at this again in 2 years!

Re: Bye Bye Liberals

I'm looking forward to a change of government. Maybe we can finally get down to business and strengthen relations with our next door neighbours.

The only complaint people have down here is now where do we send all the libs who object to everything under the sun? They used to be able to go to Canada to escape everything. Now what? We just double up on imigration to Mexico???

Re: Bye Bye Liberals

So sad for Canada. Their freedoms may begin to dwindle quicker than ours in the US, and we don't have many left. Their poor country is being over run by people who want a govt to hold their hand while they go to the toilet lest there be a gay person in there...or a liberal.....or heaven forbid, a homeless person. Conservativism means being conservative with the amount of rights the people have and giving all the power to the governments. Being liberal means holding liberty and freedom sacred as inallienable rights to every human being alive.

Everything else is just spin.....

Change to what?
What do you agree with?
Your suggestion would be what? Maybe build some jails
for people that don't like to be part of the herd?
Love our American friends but it's nice to stay Canadian as well.

WTF? How bout the freedom to make your own way with out a lot of government regulation? How bout the freedom to all be on the same level, not special levels and special rights for small groups of snivelers? How about freedom from quotas? How about the freedom to not be killed in the womb? How about the liberal three strikes and you better watch yourself or we might give you a time out? Liberalism means freedom from personal responsibility, “it’s not my fault, I was raised that way”

"the freedom to not be killed in the womb?"

Now, this should just about do it.

Re: Bye Bye Liberals

YEA! .....and how about the freedom for Prowall to pull that plug?..........Or would that be considered isolation of an out spoken idea?.........So, who's on first base?

Re: Bye Bye Liberals

Idealogues are never right. Pure liberalism leads to Communism. Pure conservatism leads to fascism. But a mix of the two leads to what has made this country great.

If you want to see where conservative laissez faire economics will take us, read about the robber barrons and the fuedal system they brought on America. Children 10 years old working 14 hours a day. Seven day workweeks, intolerable conditions in our factories and mines.
Labor unions and liberals delivered us from the nightmare. Read your history!

Conservatives have demonized labor unions and liberals for years, they've done a good job- just read this forum. All the while the income gap grows wider.
What we need now are Progressive Republicans like Teddy Roosevelt who will stand up for the little guy. Mix them with some moderate Democrats and we'll be back on track. America works best when we have a split government. When one party controls all three branches of goverment we're in trouble. These Neocons in charge now are killing us.
