My guess is nothing or a truss clip, rafter tie, hurricane tie or whatever people like to call it.

In this day and age it's unbeleivable that politicians still do the moronic photo ops.

Why do people lay-out the walls on the side of the plates?

I just do the top and bottom and it is quicker.

I thought the aprons were cute, guess their not big enough boys for tool belts, or FEMA just couldn't afford them.

After attending fall safety class I would like to see lower in that picture. GW seems to be above the second from the top rung of his ladder and I don't believe his belt buckle is within the sides of the ladder. FINE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is he toenailing to flush the plates? A true man of detail.

I've always only layed out on the sides. It's a habit, and it's pretty quick for me. I just hold the studs up and nail them.
