To Burned Out For A Vacation ?
Despite summer's reputation for being a time of travel and leisure, many U.S. workers are not using all their vacation time and are too tired to plan a getaway, according to a new Yahoo! HotJobs survey.
Nearly half of the respondents (49%) said they feel "burned out" by their jobs, and many did not fully use vacation time as a remedy. Out of 1,800 professionals surveyed, 45% said they did not use all of their vacation days allotted in 2006, and 39% said they were too tired to take a "real" vacation during their days off. Thats the story of my life

Re: To Burned Out For A Vacation ?
I use a little more than my share of vacation days. Florida a week or two ago, Cancun in a little over a week and then a 3 day fishing trip when I get back. The Florida vacation was the first time that I went on vacation without using a computer (a milestone). I don't think that my wife will let me bring my laptop to Cancun. My fishing buddies will toss my butt overboard if they catch me on a phone let alone a laptop.

Re: To Burned Out For A Vacation ?
How hard can it be to plan sitting on your butt all day? Talk about lazy. I think it has more to do with the bosses hiring 4 people for a 6 person job and then after you come back from your vacation there is such a backlog it takes 10 months to catch up. Business as usual.

Re: To Burned Out For A Vacation ?
I take 1 week at the end of August. Go down to Misquamicut, RI and then I sit on my butt and do nothing. Relaxing. Sometimes take a bike ride with my camera and take pictures of the view.
