Brain Burnt

Ya ever caught yourself, so tired that your brain just stops working?

It happened to me again on the way back to the house. I drove for about 2 miles without a thought. It's a good thing my truck has AutoBob.

I just blanked out. I think it's time for a break. Fishing maybe?.....Na....I need to have a cold one.....or two. So I guess tonight will be a beer night.

Bob

Re: Brain Burnt

Have had projects that required 14-16 hrs a day to accomplish on time. I can remember getting home from work and not remembering the route I took to get there. Just zoned out and lucky I didn't go through a red light or stop sign and kill someone!!!

Re: Brain Burnt

That happens to me when I get a cell phone call in the truck. 20 minutes later I wonder how the hell did I drive 20 miles without even remembering a single thing during that time?

Kinda scary when you think about it!!! Your brain can get so tired or busy with something else that you lose twenty - thirty minutes of what you were doing!! Scary too when having to work 'til 1:00 or 2:00am in the shop working on the saws and you're almost dizzy from being so tired. One night shot myself three times with the brad nailer assembling millwork. Called it a night after the third one (was too tired to think straight) and obviously shoot straight!!

Sounds like something that I experience about Beer:Thirty, Quarter to wine
Seriously though with me I guess I'm getting older, they say 2 things start to go as you get older, 1 is your memory and the other is......What was it we were talking about?

Re: Brain Burnt

Funny--My twist is that my brain cuts out when I get nervous. Like when I'm in a difficult technical situation or something fails and wondering how the hell am I gonna get through this. Obviously these are times when you need all your brains. Any suggestions?
