Boss's Day

Boss's Day (also known as Bosses Day or National Boss Day) is a secular holiday celebrated on October 16 in the United States. It has traditionally been a day for employees to thank their boss for being kind and fair throughout the year. The holiday has been the source of some controversy and criticism in the United States, where it is often mocked as a Hallmark Holiday.

I recieved a really nice Boss's Day Card today from my employees with a $50 gift card inside for Long Horn Steak House. I was REALLY surprised and it was a damn good feeling....I almost teared up with overwhelming happiness just like a woman. I really have a GREAT team

Boss day is a joke. You're a kiss-up if you get them something and you're a bum if you don't,no-win scenario.I would never expect any employees to get me anything.
It is good for you if you are happy, screw the rest!

Re: Boss's Day

Oh I don't expect anything either - not even a x-mass card. This is the first time in 10 years that any employee of mine has even said "thank you for being so good to us". Let alone putting forth the effort to get a card for any reason and to drop $50 on a steak house gift card so I could have a nice meal (instead of buying theirs weekly) is unheard of.

Re: Boss's Day

I was aware that it was National boss day but since that "holiday" is a complete joke and I feel no need to kiss up to anyone, I chose to ignore it.
