I lost a plastic skylight once, and went back the next rainy day to look for it alongside the interstate. It was a rainy day and a friend and I looked. We found it and a nice Igloo water cooler and a load stabilizer for a pickup bed. I would venture that if you walked along the interstate every evening next to where the home improvement stores are, you would find all sorts of stuff.

I lost a couple of rolls of insulation once, and by the time I took an exit, went back, took another exit, and came upon where I had lost them, they were gone.

I lost a half-dozen sheets of drywall once, and by the time I got back, found a garbage truck driver and the driver of a flatbed with a huge backhoe bucket on it had moved them all safely off the road. They put them back on my truck and wouldn't take a penny.

Lost 3 full large totes of plaster removal, blew through the back doors of my very old van at the time....the 20 buck truck...laughing.....embarrassing as hell!

You didn't stay to see how liftoff went? "on" the road ahead of them?? I think you are right the front tires are OFF the road! They should have bought a wheel for a cart or something and stuck it under the long stuff to act as a wheelie bar.

I never think to get pics even though my phone is always in my pocket. There have been several times when I've seen plywood or OSB in the back of a pickup with nothing to keep it from sliding out. A couple of times I've made a comment that it could slide out. They always just look at me like I'm crazy. I like to wait around and then follow them for a ways. The local HD parking lot is much lower than the surrounding streets, so they usually don't make it out of the parking lot.
