Bathroom Conversation

This could happen to you the next time you're in a public restroom...

I was barely sitting down when I heard a voice from the other stall saying:
'Hi, how are you?'

I'm not the type to start a conversation in the restroom but I don't know what got into me, so I answered, somewhat embarrassed,
'Doin' just fine!'

And the other person says:
'So what are you up to?'

What kind of question is that? At that point, I'm thinking this is too bizarre so I say:
'Uhhh, I'm like you, just traveling!'

At this point I am just trying to get out as fast as I can when I hear another question.
'Can I come over?'

Ok, this question is just too weird for me but I figured I could just be polite and end the conversation. I tell them
'No.......I'm a little busy right now!!!'

Then I hear the person say nervously...

'Listen, I'll have to call you back. There's an idiot in the other stall who keeps answering all my questions.

Re: Bathroom Conversation

good one. the tried and true method of starting a conversation in a public bathroom (at the urinals) is to say, "Man, this water sure is cold"! No one generally replies, but the only acceptable reply is, "Yeah, it's deep too".

hahahahaha, to funny...
Maybe that is what happened when whats his name politician that got busted for toe tapping in the airport restroom, he was listenning to his mp3 tapping to the music..
Traveling about 90 miles each way when I work I stop in the rest areas or truck stop for more coffee & restroom break and it does seem more & more people will continue their phone conversation right into the restroom regardless of people in there and think nothing of it. Especially with the ear devices and you have to look twice to see if they are indeed talking to you or on the phone before you smack their head down into the urinal or the tile wall..

So assuming this is not a joke, how would you recover or redeem your self after an embarasing yet comical slap in the face like that. Personaly I can't think of any thing to say that would'nt make it worse.

hahaha, don;t look at it as that, as it is confusing unless you know for sure who one is speaking to.
There is a time & place for everything.
In public places(with exception to restrooms) when people do this, I join right in with the conversation and at times I get some frustrating looks from those using these devices or phones even. But after all they are in public places.
I guess I am old fashion, I go into public places I end the call prior to entering, if that important I finish first then go in. I get a call while in a public place I push ignore & will check voicemail later, what can be that important that the call cannot wait until my phone conversation does not intrude on the privacy of others. That is just common respect.

It's actually a joke my cousin sent me. It gave me a good chuckle this morning so I thought I'd pass it on.

Re: Bathroom Conversation

That joke and a lot of other fun reading is available at www.snopes.com, a very good scam/hoax debunking site. I just had occasion to go there a couple of days ago to combat the latest piece of junk my idiot sister in law sent me.
