Man, file a lien but don't post something like that. I don't like it. Would anyone here do this?

I once considered a site like this for contractors. I believe that I mentioned it to Nat at one time, the legal implications are phenonominal.

Re: Bad Homeowner Review

If I had the extra time, I would call the homeowner and find and his contractors (poster's) name and see if he is registered with the state. Odds are that he is not, dumb and maybe a criminal?

while I am at it, is a leave a type of leaf?

We will come rake your leave tomorrow

I would not do it.

It kinda reminds me of being at the store and the owner has all the bounced checks from customers tacked to the wall.

Over on the Eastern Shore, one store has even gone as far as posting who owes late payments.............. on there marqius sign.

Re: Bad Homeowner Review

Just flip the criteria around. The HO's can research us in a variety of ways (BBB, Chambers, Builders Assocn,s, building dept's.). Why should we not be allowed something similar for slow pays & court cases. Seems fair to me.

If there was a "safe" way to do it, I would be all for it. I have been really lucky and never had a no pay nor have I ever had to take anyone to court. I would like to check "the list" before taking on clients.

Re: Bad Homeowner Review

I can see having a way for contractors to find out the deadbeats, but it also would need to be done in a way that verifies both sides like the BBB system does. Just to be able to post that so and so is a deadbeat without finding out the facts could make for problems I would think.

Re: Bad Homeowner Review

I was given this some time back. I never even bothered to look at the site though. Someone else needed it so it was given to me and then I passed it on to them. Now come to think about it I wonder how it worked out for them. Well anyways surprised I saved it so enjoy
