Of the 49 metropolitan areas with a Census 2000 population of 1 million or more, Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario, Calif., reported the highest unemployment rate in August 2008, 9.2 percent, followed by Detroit-Warren-Livonia, Mich., at 8.8 percent.

NJ is definitely going to take a hit. We have drug companies to fall back on but a lot of people I have done work for commute to NY for financial jobs.

How much is land going for these days in NC? Plan on building me a house up there.
FWIW if you research the job markets also and see that a lot of the largest employers in many states are cutting back it paints a more clear picture. |
