Anyone Else Catch The Flu?

I got a bad cold about 2 1/2 weeks ago and I let it run it's course for about a week and finally got over it. Then about 3 days later I either got another cold or the same one came back twice as bad.

I'm finally getting over that and guess what... I got the flu and I've been fighting it off for the past 24 hours (bowing to the porcelain thrown ).
I've never been hit with this many things at once in my life. Maybe I'm getting old?

Anyways, I was talking to some people I know and it's been going around. This thing is bad and everyone in the family gets it.

Stock up on vitamins and wash those hands.... because I can tell you first hand this sucks.

I had a bad cold try to bite me 3 times over the last 2 weeks. I take that Airborne stuff, anybody ever use it? It's pretty much a vitamin C overdose. When I feel something like that coming on I start taking one tablet about 3 times a day, drink OJ and eat vitamin C drops like crazy and I usually either knock the cold out before it gets ahold of me or it helps me recover in a day or so.

I think it's going around, I'm only just now starting to get back up to full speed again.

Yea, I used to just kill it with vitamin C but my wife had me swithc to Airborne... I think because it was on Opera

Maybe that's why I wasn't able to beat it this time. I usually don't get sick that often.

Next time you feel a cold or flu coming on do this-

Take 6 drops of peroxide & put in each ear - do 1 ear at a time - keep your head tilted for at least 10 minutes and than do the other ear.
if you have to put a small piece of cotton in your ears.

Do this 3 xs a day as soon as you feel something coming on.

And than for the rest of your life - take the herb Astragalus.

All the doctors take this herb & of course the drug companies don't want you to know about this wonder Herb.

Builds your immunity like nothing else - of course a good probiotic is also a good thing to take

Re: Anyone Else Catch The Flu?

I was the most sick I've ever been for the last week and a half (fever, congestion, deep coughing, etc)... A cold never prevents me from going to work but, this was bad. I was taking off the shelf meds (Benylin, Contact C, etc)... Just couldn't beat the thing. Went to my Doctor a few days ago and he told me that taking those meds that I was actually prolongs your cold/flu... They hinder your immune system and you can't get rid of the congestion (sounds gross, but you can't cough up the boogers and blow your nose properly)... So you just add to your congestion...

Aspirin and Vitamin C is what the Doc told me to take... A few days later and I'm back to work... The meds made me feel tired anyway even though they were non-drowsy!!! Those off the shelf meds should be used when you have to go to work (they relieve the symptoms of a cold) but they do not cure your cold... My mistake, I've been doing that for years!!!
