Amazing Kid..

I am impressed. Usually it is with others children, but this time it is with one of mine.

We had to go to a memorial service today for my husbands step-brother. Since the whole step-family didn't come into play for my husband until he was an adult, we were not that familiar with the family. We are however close to his step-father, and my 10yo son is VERY close to his "Pop".

After making our rounds through the family line, we waited outside until the service started. We were standing all the way in the back - couldn't see anything, but they had loudspeakers. A few people spoke, and the director asked if anyone else would like to say a few words, and what I hear next is my 10yo, standing up infront of the crowd saying a few words in honor of his Pops son. At first I was scared, because I didn't know what the hell he was going to say.

He amazes me. He wants to be an actor - so at least we know he does't suffer from stage fright. Oh - and he got an applause.
