Just one benefit of Twitter (and there are many) is that it provides another way for businesses to promote and market themselves and it doesn't cost a dime.

Here is guide to using Twitter for business http://www.johnjantsch.com/TwitterforBusiness.pdf

Enjoy!

To who?

It doesn't cost a dime to stand on the street and hand out business cards, but what's the point?

I still haven't read anything posted here explaining how you would use twitter to promote yourself.

My wife is on this twitter thing and I still don't get the basis of it. She tells me it's what everyone is doing. When I asked her to explain it to me, I got the rolled eyes and she said it's a status thing to keep in touch with your friends. I looked at her "twitter" page and she's getting updates from Oprah, Ellen, Ashton and Demi....I didn't know we were friends with these people and I still don't get it. I'll continue using the method that rolled off Noahs arc and dial the person I want to keep in touch with.

Really? where do you get your business cards made? I need to go there!
Besides standing on a corner handing out business cards may cost you allot more than you bargained for... Like your dignity!

If Twitter is good enough for Oprah & John McCain it's good enough for me!

I wonder if Chuck Norris Tweets?! ... "Chuck Norris Follows NO ONE!!"

So please explain exactly how you are benefiting off of Twitter.

We've asked 3 times to 3 different people who seem to think Twitter is a great marketing avenue and we have had zero explanations.

Here is how you benefit from Twitter.
All the workers on the job are required to "Tweet" upon exiting the john if a foul stench is lingering.
That's the benefit I could see.

I keep hearing all over, radio, blogs and what not, that you are a fool if you're not twittering about your business.Who in the world would want to subscribe to some contractors feed so they can read..."Whew..Just installed 300 ln.ft.
of base and case."?

What's that got to do with marketing your business?

This is the subject, not you figuring out what a 60d nail is.

If you just don't have a clue, just say so.

You can spend your time twittering with Oprah.

Again more masturbation and vibration for nothing other than for some moron to pretend he's on the cutting edge of nothing.

Is this twitter thing unmoderated and uncensored? Because I could have some fun with it if it is.

I change my vote. My grandmother signed up for my tweets. That should light my marketing on fire.

Mike,
post you website, and use Analytics tools to follow just how many more visitors you get... then post your opinion about twitter in an informed way.

It's Free.
