Some freakin' sanity! The last 2 years have been most difficult starting with my buddy's wife dropping dead. Then the bic C came marching in to most that are nearest and dearest. My daughter just dropped the doctor that she has been seeing for 4 yrs. for a potential restauranteer. Ol'#2 is going through menopause and I never know what to expect from her.

All that I'm asking for is a resemblance of anything that I can recognize as normal. Right now, all that I have going is the cable bill, at least it's dependable.

All I want for christmas..._________, is to win the lottery, or at least a portion of it, just enough to bank roll a start up business as a home improvement contractor. I use to be self employed as a home improvement contractor, but difficulty collecting accounts receivable was to stressful on my family and finances.

We no longer have an extended family for Christmas, ...just my wife and 2 older kids, 25 and 24, and my darling, 7. I do have a grandchild this year....and the rule is ironclad...gifts are for kids, don't spend money on me, since if I want it, I already have it, and since kids are only young once, blow it on their morning! So my answer is nothing....and I don't think about a wish.....kinda funny, but I have no idea what I would ask for in a real sense....world peace would be great, my Mom back would be fantastic..the lottery would be a blast, but in reality......a good pair of leather moccasin houseshoes.....fur lined. $12 or so......that is what I will tell my 7 year old.

amazingly--that is what my family has decided to do this year, since we keep adding kids...but we did pick names for the adults, so the adults will get something, just not something from each person--hey when gas and energy costs go down, we might change it back to normal I know, I know.... that'll never happen

Personally I told everyone I want socks, pants and shirts for Xmas. I'm too busy to have time to go out and buy them myself. All my socks have holes, the knees of my pants are worn through, and my shirts are all covered in paint splatter and caulking (from wiping my hands)!!! Most say, "can't we get you something more practical"!!! What's more practical than clothes (we wear them everyday) !!!

My three front teeth.....

I've never had a cavity in my life, and have never required any dental work except for having one wisdom tooth pulled... until today.

Smashed three of my teeth this afternoon. Two are chipped badly, but can be fixed. One will need a root canal and who knows what else to patch it up. A real bummer, to say the least. I'm really disappointed with myself. Work gets done on Monday. Joy.

I was all scrunched up in an odd position in an attic drilling a hole and the drill whacked me in the chin, uppercut style. I'm really mad at myself today.

Bummer. Sometimes I tell myself that the lesser accidents happen to remind me that a major accident can happen just as fast.

I had perfect/ no dental work until I got insurance through my wifes work. I still havn't had much but am sure some of it was unnecessary but that discussion is for another thread.

here I am 2 years ago and I go to the dentist for a normal checkup and BAM 8 cavities!!!! I say WTF is that? She's like..."well, they are all in between your teeth--it's from not flossing, has nothing to do with brushing". I was pissed, since I was the one in the family with braggin rights of impecably clean teeth for 25 years. No more braggin' for me, just hundreds of dollars spent and tons of novacaine, and of course...
