I fail to see what is so odd about that. Happens here all the time. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised to see both of those events in the same day, and I'd only be a little surprised to see those two events in the same hour. I've seen both within 10 minutes of each other, but that is kind of unusual.

In your area, it sounds like 81F is a good time to plan for what to do to take advantage of the next hurricane. In the north, the cold weather is when the contractors and plannersreally make the most money using their experience.

After 6 months of seeing Katrina damage, I realized that those that planned and prepared were able to respond and make money. The short term subcontractors from outside got high rates and had high costs, inefficiencies and never got a referral because they were gone. The locals that were qualified and prepared came out well.
