3 Dog Night

Wifey and I just got in from a concert and am happy to report that 3 Dog Night can still rock the house. Bunch of youngster there that weren't even born when they were on top. Pretty cool.

Good Luck
Dave

One of my favorites from High School, along with Grand Funk Railroad and Deep Purple and then graduated into Led Zeppelin.

It seems like I hit a chord with some wayward kindred spirits who miss the rock that you could jam to and also understand the words.

Re: 3 Dog Night

I'd take the 50,60, and 70's music over today's. I think it all started to go down hill in the 80's but totally hit the crapper in the 90's and beyond. Yes, there are a few good groups out there today but they are few and far between. If I listen to anything now its oldies, classic rock, or country (very rarely anymore).

I played Grand Funks were an American band LP solid for 1 week. One afternoon my dad opened up the album and saw the pic of the band members naked behind straw bales and promptly threw it out.

Re: 3 Dog Night

In order to get to 3 Dog Night we had to sit through The Buckinghams and then Gary Puckett. Neither one was ever a favorite with me and time did them no favors. (Gotta admit though that my HS band covered some of their stuff) But the real deal hit the stage and everyone was on their feet for most of it. I was 18 again for a little while.

Grand Funk RR, Led Zepplin, James Gang, Santana, etc.

Good Luck
Dave

From what I remember, 3 Dog Night was how many dogs it took to keep you warm. Still one of my favorite bands to see whenever I get the chance.

Old school rock is the best... I am 27 and I listen to 60's and 70's rock more than anything else- you can't beat Led Zeppelin, the Stones, Cream, Hendrix, 3 Dog Night, and on and on...

Mainly their version of the Mission Impossible theme song.

I could play that over and over again all day long.
