Re: 2 Yo Boys... Grrrr

So do you have a punch card for the hospital like stores have for coffee? The 5th trip is free!

So did momma make it this time or did she need the smelling salts?

At this rate we'll be on our 5th trip within a couple months

Momma is getting much better with blood. Still yells for me and won't have anything to do with the injury, but she's not in sheer panic either.

Unfortunately, being in Canada, with the amount I have to pay for ER visits, it would take a very long time to add up

Thank god.
It only gets better Shane. My oldest gets his drivers license in a couple of weeks. Be glad for the time when you can keep him right there at the house.

Few more trips to the ER and mama will be used to the stitches thing.

Just remember scars are tattoos with better stories.

That chin split looks deep.
Glad he's OK.

My Son fell out of his stroller onto a board that his brother had been pounding nails in.
Only time I've ever seen a 8d sinker go in head first (into his sinus) Hardly much of a scar.

It was pretty deep, I had a front row seat holding him down in the ER.

Holy freaking ouch Batman!

Re: 2 Yo Boys... Grrrr

And it continues.

This time I had just finished work for the day, and had stopped in to see my mom and her husband at his small engine shop, when my cell started ringing. As soon as I answered I could hear him crying, the real cry. "I'm taking Jack in for stitches", she says, "my sister is on her way".

Hop in the truck and head down to the ER to meet them. Wife was soo happy to see me walk in so she didn't have to go in and watch. I have always had to help hold him down while the stitches were taking place and she was very glad she didn't have to do that either.

In the ER after they put some anesthetic jelly on it.

Home, happy, ready to run.

Aw heck Shane you should be used to it by now, We raised two boys and always had at least four around. Cuts, bruises & blood were the norm. By the smile on his face he just got another badge of courage.

Yea, Griz, I knew what was happening before my wife said "hello".

Makes me feel sorry for my mom, at least my son is not riding his tricycle on the roof.

Yet......

We have to go to Vernon for a family reunion of sorts today, of course.

He will be the talk of the party, that, and how much like his dad he is.

Re: 2 Yo Boys... Grrrr

Here was my Mom's Worst Day, 3 Kids 1 at 10 am.......7 Stitches.........next one at 1:00 5 Stitches........When I got home from school My brother told me what happened, I thought he was Lying........So I shoved him off the Back Porch........as My mom drove up the Driveway watching my brother crack his Head open on the landing 10 Stitches.

I was told if I move........I would be Dead! ( I'm Sure glad D.C.Y.S was not around) - My mom would have been Locked up!

P.S My son 9 has split his Eyebrow open twice 6 mo apart. From the Picture he Looks like he is Proud of his work.

Good Luck
