Quote:
The officer involved in the crash was charged with 2 counts of homicide with a motor vehicle November 15, 2009, after 5 month investigation by the Connecticut State Police.
Cops are people too. They're only human, but still-they need to be held to a higher standard, IMO.

I would like to see what the sentencing is on this one. Hopefully it will fit the crime.

And it seems we always hear about when they screw up. Why not the good news?

LIHU‘E — It’s been quite a month for Kaua‘i Police Department officer Kenneth Cummings.

Not only did he help arrest a burglary suspect, but his quick actions likely saved the life of a person attempting suicide, his supervisors said.

For his work, he was named KPD Officer of the Month for October. He was honored at the county Police Commission’s monthly meeting Friday at the Historic County Building.

Great clip to study.

First the oncoming headlights, then cut left in front of traffic.
The misjudged rate of closure got him.
The cop just happened to be driving at 94mph.

Wow,

He didnt have his lights on, he screwed now. Thats going to be his downfall when they go after him about his EVOC training. As said above society doesnt care about the good deeds done, they only care about the screw-ups. LEO's are normal folks and we all make mistakes, he will have to remember this one for the rest of his life now.
