Funny that I've tended to favor Ford products, for no special reason, and I presently happen to drive a Lincoln Continental. I'll be happy if it gets to 120K. If it goes a million, I'll just roll it over a cliff when I'm done with it.

Charlie Lincoln

" Hot Rod Lincoln was recorded as an answer song to "Hot Rod Race" in 1955. It was written by Charlie Ryan (who had also recorded a version of Hot Rod Race) and W. S. Stevenson. It was first recorded by Ryan, recording as Charlie Ryan and The Livingston Brothers.[1]. It begins, "You heard the story of the hot rod race, where the Fords and Lincolns were setting the pace...I was the kid in the Model A. "

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_Rod_Lincoln

Johnny, The Man in Black, certainly performed this song! But as a "cover".

The entire story can be seen here........
