glue

Removing paper border that my wife hung. I have never had this much trouble with paper. I asked her did she use somekind of glue besides just booking the paper. At first she said no. She then said it seems like she did. Anyway, in the places I have off (one complete side), the glue i s thick and sticky. Now I would say theh water activated the glue on that side, and it may have. But, the other areas are a tacky too, and they have had no water or anything. This stuff has been up a few years. Hate to say it, but I am at a loss as to any quick painless way to proceed. I think about waiting til tomorrow and let everything dry real good, sand, etc., but some of this was stripped yesterday, was not wet, and is still tacky. What gives?

My current home had a kids room. Mom cut figures out of books and glued them to the wall with whatever was available. Sanding was my only option. I used a Mouse, the orbital was too aggressive.

If this glue was dry, I'd do the same thing. 12:05 here and it is still tacky. Maybe it will be dry tomorrow. If so, I'm not trying t o remove anymore. Just going to maybe sand, prime, skim, prime and paint.

This glue s eems to be trying to dry. I bought some Dif. I have never had to use it before and not sure I want to chance reactivaying this stuff and ruining the paint I have up to that area. Hopefully it will be dry by the time I am ready to second coat, and I will just prime and skim since this is my rental anyway.

Just some glue wife used. Why? Have no idea. Never knew her to use glue like that. The stuff is slowly drying. I had decided to put another border over it but may not have to,

I use an iron to remove those tough borders.
