bidding to sub wallpaer job

I am bidding a job in a bank that involves painting and wallpaper. I am going to sub out the wallpaper but nobody will give me a price without seeing the place and thats not possible because it is all demo'd. so i am trying to find out what to bid it at. it is about 3200 sq ft no patterns commercial vinyl. no tricky angles or anything. very basic. what is a price I can charge this at including the wallpaper and paste. any help would be great.

Where are you located? Prices vary on commercial vinyl around the country.

If there are no prints, you might have to create a rough drawing.. At least a floor plan with ceiling heights. Highlight the areas that need wallcovering. Someone should be able to give you an estimate based on that.

Commercial vinyl is measured and bid in linear yards, not square feet. At least that is how I and everyone I know does it.

If its $2.50-3.00 per ln yd, well....as jackrabbit put it, I wouldn't even fire my truck up for that. Here in StL MO, I charge AT LEAST $7.00 per ln yd, with most being in the $9-12.50 range.

Them is dang near slave wages boys. 20 years ago I was charging $7-8 a yard. Now, I haven't gotten that much faster in 20 years to make that $4/yd. work, and inflation hasn't helped either. How did we get to this point?

"How did we get to this point?" ??
