I have customer that is selling a house by the end of December they have Faux finish painting in the living room that was touch up by previous owner. without any information i am having trouble matching paint color because they only need touch in spots throughout the house. Am I creating more work for myself trying to match that finish.

Thanks,

It is difficult to touch up someone else's work for several reasons. You don't know the exact color(s) used, tools to apply, technique, movements and so forth. Can you give an idea of the type of finish it is?

Try this. Assuming it is only one or two colors, get paint color swatches and match the most dominate color to a swatch. Now go two colors darker and mix some of the paint, 1 part with 4 parts glaze. Dab the glaze mixture only on the spots that need it and wipe any excess off the existing finish. If it is too light you can build up the color after the first coat dries.

I hope this makes sense to you.
