This is incredibly simple and can be big bucks for you. Dont use a glaze, it will be a PITA. Use a GEL stain instead of glaze.
1. prime and paint the cabinets as normal
2. I use Old Master Gel stain ( any gel stain will work ) brush the stain over the entire door ( 1 side at a time obviously

) let it stand a few minutes, then wipe off the stain using a clean rag ( t-shirt is best ). The stain will take in all the cracks and recesses as well as lightly staining the paint color making it look antiqued. You have complete control with the Gel stain, you can make them as dark or light as the customer wants. If the stain starts drying too fast just simply use a little thinner on your rag.
3. I always make samples using scrap trim or moldings to help the customer decide, once they decide.....do a door for them for final approval.
*** if they want a more distressed look, take a heavy chain and beat the cabinets silly, the small dents and dings will add to the overall affect. BE SURE TO SAMPLE AND GET APPROVAL FIRST BEFORE....OR YOU WILL BE BUYING NEW CABINETS ***
